How Sky Cashback Works
Last updated: August 30, 2026
1. The idea in one line
You buy vouchers in the app, you pay with those vouchers at our partner merchants, and you get cashback on what you spend. The cashback comes back to you as more vouchers, so you can spend it again.
2. What a voucher is
A voucher is a prepaid entitlement you buy from Sky Cashback. It represents the price of goods or services paid in advance.
You can hold vouchers in different denominations, and you can hold as many as you like. Together they make up your vouchers value — the total value of the vouchers you have bought and not yet redeemed.
A voucher is not a bank account, not a deposit, and not a money transfer service. It is spent inside the app at partner merchants. It cannot be exchanged for cash.
3. Step 1 — Create your account
Sign up with your mobile number and confirm it with the one-time code we send you by SMS. Choose a password, then set a PIN that protects every payment you make.
That is the whole setup. Adding an email address, an address, or a photo is optional and can be done later from your profile.
4. Step 2 — Buy your vouchers
Open Buy Vouchers, choose the denomination and how many of each you want, and pay. You can buy several vouchers of different values in a single payment.
You can pay by:
- Bank card, through the Paymera payment platform.
- Sham Cash.
- A prepaid card bought at an approved point of charge and redeemed in the app.
The vouchers appear in your account as soon as the payment is confirmed.
5. Step 3 — Pay at a partner merchant
Browse partner merchants in the app to see who is nearby and what cashback each one gives.
At the counter, the merchant creates the invoice in their own Sky Cashback app and shows you a QR code. Open Pay, scan the code, check the amount, and confirm with your PIN.
The purchase value is taken from your vouchers, oldest voucher first, and the merchant is paid.
6. Step 4 — Get your cashback
We arrange cashback for you from our partner merchants. As soon as the purchase goes through, the cashback for that merchant is added to your cashback value.
Cashback arrives as vouchers. You spend it exactly the way you spend the vouchers you bought — at any partner merchant, on mobile recharge, on bills, or as a gift to someone else.
Cashback rates differ from one merchant to another, and every merchant's current rate is shown in the app before you buy.
7. Where the money goes, in order
Every voucher is used oldest first. When you pay, the app takes what it needs from your oldest voucher, then the next one, until the purchase is covered.
That means you can always open a voucher and see exactly which purchases used it, and open a purchase and see exactly which vouchers paid for it.
8. What else you can do with your vouchers
- Recharge an MTN or Syriatel line, or pay a postpaid mobile bill, in Syrian pounds.
- Send vouchers to another Sky Cashback user by scanning their QR code.
- Buy vouchers as a gift for someone else.
- Pay for a large purchase in instalments through Split Payment, where a financing bank funds the purchase.
- Invite friends with your referral code and earn rewards when they start buying.
9. Returns
If you return something you bought, the merchant issues a return invoice. The value comes back to your vouchers value in the app, and the cashback that was granted for that purchase is removed.
The return window and the conditions are the merchant's own return policy.
10. Keeping your account safe
Your PIN confirms every payment, and it is never shared with merchants. Sky Cashback staff will never ask you for your PIN, your password, or the one-time code sent to your phone.
If you change your phone, sign in with your mobile number and confirm the one-time code again. Your vouchers stay with your account, not with your device.
